There are a lot of good articles on the destructive influence that TV has on people and American culture. Ron Kaufman has a great article entitled "Television's culture of stupididy: 2005 the year in review." in which the cartoon below appears.
And parents, for godsakes, get the TV out of your children's bedroom.
