Martin Luther King, Jr. killed forty years ago today spoke truth to power about America's "spiritual death" from its war mongering
Quote of the day

Political sex scandals take porn into the mainstream.

It is of major interest to me that some of the best political analysis comes in the form of satire. The official news shows and pundits are so pompous, arrogant, and take themselves so seriously, it is hard to know whether a more appropriate response is to laugh or cry. And yet some of the political satire cuts though the pomposity and intellectual masturbation and is the best analysis around.

Yesterday as I was going to my office about 3:35 PM, some middle school age kids were walking home from school here in Brockport, NY. One of the boys says to the girls, as they separate to go their separate ways, "I love you!" He is shouting this at the top of his lungs which made me turn and look at them about 50 yards away. The girls laughed good naturedly, and one of them says, "I love you too, but I'm still not going to blow you!" They all laughed and went on their way, and I thought , "Golly, these kids are probably about 12, and fellatio now is loud street talk and part of bantering. And then I remembered these kids were brought up on Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky and probably have been hearing about blow jobs since they were two. Just everyday conversation. Is this a good thing or bad thing for our society?

Barely Political.com came out with a new video today entitled Political sex scandals. I find it very funny, and right on the money. It lasts about 3 minutes.
